如果你的年纪介于16岁和18岁之间，对政治和社区工作充满热情，英文优秀，有志于在青年国会（Youth Parliament）施展才华，欢迎通过电子邮件联系霍建强议员国会办公室, 申请成为2010年度新西兰青年国会内的霍议员代表。
 
工党排名议员、法律委员会、统计发言人和民族事务副发言人霍建强议员目前正寻觅一位能在2010青年国会中代表他的人。
 
作为新西兰工党的首位华裔议员，霍议员希望他的青年代表能体现新西兰文化的丰富多元，对关系到少数族裔的种种议题都热诚关注。
 
有意者请写信或发电子邮件到霍建强议员惠灵顿国会办公室，信中请详细说明你想成为2010年青年国会议员的原因、你希望新西兰产生什么样的变化、以及你具备什么特质能为青年国会作出贡献？
 
霍议员青年国会版的理想人选是：一个志在服务社区、有理想、并勇于为自己的信念挺身而出的青年人。
 
与往届相比，本届青年国会议员的独特之处在于：他们将亲身参与国会的正式辩论。在国会问答阶段，他们有机会尽展辩才，并有机会向政府部长提问。同时他们还将参与引介法律草案、良心投票等一系列立法程序。

每届国会都要组织青年国会，为新西兰年青人提供学习体验民主政治、影响公共决策的机会。2010青年国会目前暂定于6月到7月间举行。

Who will be Huo in Youth Parliament?   
       
 
If you are between 16-18-years-old, are passionate about politics and your community and committed to giving it your all in Youth Parliament 2010, then Raymond Huo would like to hear from you.
 
Labour List MP, Spokesperson for Statistics and Law Commission and Associate Ethnic Affairs Spokesperson, Raymond Huo, is on the look-out for someone to represent him in this year’s Youth Parliament.
 
As the first Labour MP of Chinese origin, Huo would like his representative to be reflective of New Zealand’s diverse youth population and be passionate about issues affecting our ethnic communities.
 
Raymond Huo invites applicants to write to his Wellington office detailing why you want to be a part of Youth Parliament 2010, what changes you would like to see made in New Zealand and what unique attributes you have to bring to Parliament.
 
“I’m searching for someone who wants to serve and represent their community, has a clear vision for the future of New Zealand and who isn’t afraid to stand up for the values they believe in,” Raymond Huo said.
 
“What makes this term of Youth Parliament unique is that the Youth MP’s will be involved in actual debating in the House. They will get to grill their counterparts in Question Time, debate the introduction of a Bill and take part in a conscience vote.”

Youth Parliament is held every Parliamentary term and provides young New Zealanders with the opportunity to learn about our democracy and influence public decision-making. Youth Parliament 2010 is tentatively scheduled for July 6-7.
